Currently, their is a ten day waiting period for your right to own a gun in CA, if rights are subject to these kinds of laws, why cant the state implement them across the board?

An abortion is less bad the earlier it is, so obviously not. If it’s early enough, when the clump of cells hasn’t developed a human nervous system, it should be at will. If it’s late enough, when the fetus would be able to survive outside the mother’s body, it shouldn’t happen at all.

No. There should be no waiting periods at all for abortions. Waiting periods for abortions like other anti-abortion measures have the sole purpose of persecuting women. In the case of waiting periods they are especially harsh to poor women, for whom traveling long distances repeatedly is a major burden.

There’s also the worry that the person may not actually be transsexual, but just emotionally disturbed in some unrelated fashion. Unfortunately at the present the only way they can physically diagnose gender dysphoria is to cut open somebody’s brain and visually inspect certain internal components; which would be crippling or fatal for live subjects. So they feel the need to be extra careful.
