I want to stay up late and drink beer tonight. I am at your mercy. I only get 6 sick days a year and have two remaining until April 1st.
So what happens when you get the flu? And who’s going to fill in for you?
I have a feeling this will require staying up late and drinking beer until the votes are tallied.
Ahhh to hell with this cautious, pussy-willow approach. I say do it, man. You only live once. You’ll be fine. A little flu is good for one’s constitution.
I can go on short term disability at 75% wages after sick days are used up. I’m in between audits and don’t have much to do tomorrow. I can check email from home, but can’t really work from home: stupid crown corporation rules.
Wait 'til you’ve survived flu season. Then, sometime in March you can use those last few sick days to play hooky.
How late and how much beer?
Do you drive to work?
Do you have a desk job, or one that requires you to operate machinery?
Do you have a customer facing job?
What are the consequences in your job of having a slacking-off day?
I’m not sure what most of this means, but I think it might be what’s wrong with society.
Hang on. I’m going to get a beer.
ETA: Ahhhh…
Why? Because I’ve taken 4 sick days in the last 7 months?
Midnight maybe, and another 3 or 4.
Yes. 100 miles.
Desk.
No.
None. I’m a good employee.
Would you be able to do your job adequately after a night of drinking? Can you drive there safely after a night of drinking? If not, do you have another means of getting to and from work? Are you allowed to do e-mail stuff from home as you finish waking up, and then drive in to work?
Mental Heath days are pretty important too…
From one Crown employee to another.
Well, I’m certainly enjoying my beer. We’ll see how tomorrow goes.
ETA: 2:1 poll results. You guys are party poopers.
What would Phil Kessel do? I think the answer’s obvious.
Sometimes I don’t feel as bad as I think I might from a night of drinking. I say go ahead get Bent and see how you feel in the morning. Then make your decision.
What’s a crown employee? You work for the queen or something?
If you want to be bad, be bad. Don’t post about it on the internet. Not because of some “what you post on the internet stays there forever” thing, but because there’s nothing online people–at this MB especially–love to do more than excoriate someone for bad behavior, no matter how little it affects them.
Pretty much.
That’s Tuesday night.
Just sent her a text telling her you’re faking.
