Should I mow my lawn again?

We live in the high desert where it usually does not rain. We’ve a tiny lawn out back for some reason. We had a professional do their end of the season whatever.

Then it rained. It rained an inch. And temperatures went into the high 70s and the grass is growing again. Can I just forget it till spring? Or, do I need to mow it again.

Mowing can actually help the root system of the lawn to spread out more effectively…it’s like pruning a vigorous plant and encourages side growth to ensure greater coverage. That being said, of course you can ‘forget’ about it because the cooler weather coming along will retard further growth. And if you DO mow, the new growth might be affected by frosts that will inhibit it anyway.

If it’s a tiny lawn, why are you worried about it?? Dig it up and plant some more useful stuff there.

Hey, where did these new icons come from???
