Should I sabotage my evil boss’s attempt to land a gig at my alma mater?

The OP implied that this boss uses fraud as a way to make a living. Nobody needs a job badly enough to work for someone like that! Is there anyone s/he can turn them in to?

Don’t they play football there?

I didn’t read it as fraud - just that the boss provides a poor or unnecessary service for exorbitant fees.

Right. In fact he wrote:

The fact is, if she is successful in her business and she’s not committing actual fraud but rather overcharging people…well, it’s on them if they fail to negotiate well or demand what she said she would deliver. I can’t imagine she could maintain a successful business for this many years if someone, somewhere wasn’t happy with what she provided or if she didn’t bring more value than the OP is giving her credit for.

I have seen him do that in the past, but I don’t see it here. He’s just telling you what he would think if he were in the school’s position, and then giving you the exact same advice everyone else has given. Badmouthing your boss, even if you have a good reason, rarely works out. Your best bet is to figure out a way where you are no longer working for them. Then you can say what you want without fear of repercussion.

She’d be teaching one class, which probably works out to about a quarter-time job. Presumably she won’t be leaving her day job.
