So, over the past two weeks or so I have had a few moments of dizziness. Nothing major. Don’t even need to sit down. Just comes and goes. Same for a mild feeling of nausea. Monday and Tuesday I had a mild sore throat that passed (I spent a few hours Saturday working outside in the cold rain, for what it’s worth).
I pulled my back weightlifting about a month ago, and so took a month off from lifting and cardio (heavy bag). Yesterday I started using the heavy bag, and felt fine. I didn’t feel ready to get back into lifting, so today I tried a body weight circuit. It kicked my ass more than I expected. Had the same mild nausea after words as well. Which I would normally take as me being more out of shape than I had hoped. But these days, I’m not sure.
I am a cook at a truck stop, we are still open for take out. And working at a truck stop is also a factor in me not being sure what to make of things.
I like to think I’m just overreacting. I just want an opinion before I call my family Dr. over this.
Take your temperature, say, every four hours, and WRITE IT DOWN.
I’d suggest you call in from work today, and go back to bed.
You could just be damned tired. And when you are tired, you are much more receptive to the nasty things floating around, not just the Coronavirus.

Besides being more winded that I thought I should have been by my workout today, no. And even that wasn’t trouble breathing. Just winded from cardio.
I actually do not have a thermometer designed for people. Only room temps.
I already worked today. And I’m not at all tired. I feel fine. After my workout (I have a garage gym) I was looking at a list of atypical corona virus symptoms, and noticed that dizziness and nausea are possible symptoms.
With all of the worry over this virus, it’s easy to freak out a little with every little symptom. I had to look up more detailed symptom descriptions because I had a runny nose, and was blowing my nose. (I think I’m good.) They say to just go ahead and call your doctor. Describe your symptoms, and follow the doctor’s advice.
Be aware that if you call in sick in these times, they’re likely to tell you to take two weeks. So, go ahead and call the doctor.
Can you put work on hold for four or five days without causing major drama and trauma? Why not have a chat with your boss and lay it out for them? If your symptoms go away fairly quickly, or if you start having ones that aren’t coronavirus indicators, you’ll probably have more clarity.
Coronavirus can be mild. Prince Charles seems to have kicked his within a week, and he’s 71! We’re mostly hearing stories at the moment from people who’ve had a hard time because … well, that’s where the good stories are! But if you’re doing food service, you really do want to know that you’re the least-likely-to-be-infectious person in the room.
If you are truly curious call your doctor. They will be better able to diagnose you than people on this board. Okay, on this board a doctor MIGHT wander in here, but calling your doc is your best option.
I’ve been in a similar situation - two weeks ago, I developed a sore throat and a cough. Then asthma, but only when I ran - didn’t bother me ordinarily. Mrs. SMV has been poo-pooing my worries, as the cough hasn’t worsened, I’ve had no fever, and the sore throat only lasted a day or so. Still, I feel self-conscious when I cough. Haven’t called a doctor, because I’ve been staying home anyway, taking as a staycation the time off I requested for a trip to France that the virus killed. Only been going out to run, and maintaining the 6’ barrier.
