Mustaches are popular in many of our southern neighbouring countries as well as in the middle-east. Two critical regions. Assuming Obama gets elected president, should he then grow a mustache?

Yes, one like this.. He should grow it between the election and inauguration. Just after he goose steps up to be sworn in, he could turn to the crowd and yell “Gotcha Ya”.
No - because they don’t look good on anyone, period. I don’t want my president to look like a highway patrolman from Florida.
Hmm…Barack Hussein Obama, who is often accused of secretly being a radical Muslim, or not patriotic enough, should grow a moustache so he better blends in with foreigners?

Don’t you all know that anyone who grows a mustache commands respect? He should definitely not grow a neck beard.
ETA: My college spanish prof had a neck beard. It was strange.
All I can think of is Howdy Doody with a mustache. He doesn’t have the face for it.
No moustache. He looks way better without it.
The previously clean-shaven Abraham Lincoln grew his beard between his election in 1860 and his inauguration in 1861, at the suggestion of a girl who wrote to him.
I hereby formally apologize to every Florida Highway Patrolman (and musachioed patrolwoman shudder) who has ever run for president.
Every single time I scan past this thread title, I think of Obama growing an old timey villainous handlebar mustache.
I’m still against it, but if he were to do it, I’d say he should go for the classic “Mutton chops that flow into your mustache” look. I love that.
