Should there be a rule on font/size tags?

It is reminding me of certain neighborhoods wherein the city council or HOA dictates what colors you can paint your house and what flowers you can have in the flowerbed.

First of all, there’s no formal rule. We just want to avoid distracting formats that may interfere with communication. So I don’t see that the analogy applies.
