Thanks! No they aren’t but they are kinda similar.
I wanted a Gemini symbol that wasn’t boring. I took some concept drawings to my tattoo artist, he drew them up and this was the one I liked the best.

Ah, Gemini! That makes sense!
Joey P, I like yours too. Maybe I should have one concerning my pups - I have three!
jackdavinci, I love yours. The colors in the yin-yang are ocean-like. Very pretty!
Mine hurt, but not unbearably. Just little stings for about 45 minutes.
Clearest view of my tats that I have in my photo collection.
First one, right arm, a present to myself after 15 years of planning it, Xmas 2003. Self-stylised version of the “vesica piscis”, specifically taken from the Chalice Well lid in Glastonbury, Somerset (second pic down on the Wiki link).
Second one, left arm, self-designed, July 2005, done by traditional Thai bamboo technique. It memorialises the time I spent working on Koh Phi Phi in Thailand, and represents the two opposing tsunami waves that hit the island, with a sea eagle rising from between them, with “Phi Phi” written on the wings in Thai.
My wife also got a honu petroglyph tattoo when we went to Hawaii this year. She had planned to get just three black honu, but she had them placed on the side of her lower leg, above her only existing tattoo (on her ankle). When it was done, the old tattoo looked pathetic and gray in comparison, so the artist sketched out a green lei behind the honu, covering the old tattoo. We said OK, and it looks great.
I have only one tattoo so far: a black spider on my thigh, about five or six inches long. (I learned a lesson from my wife’s old tattoo: go big and bold, if you want it to keep looking nice.) When I decided that I wanted one, I went to a couple shops and asked them to design something, but I wasn’t happy with their sketches. Finally, I took fifteen minutes or so to whip something up in MS Paint during a lunch hour, and the next shop I went to was able to clean it up into what I wanted.
Just found the original artwork I gave the tattooist for my first one.
BTW if I ever get another (and I’m sorely tempted), I’d love this. Not for any real reason, just because it’s fucking amazing.
My tattoo’s internal: a winged lion of St. Mark, embossed directly onto my heart in 24-carat gold ink. You’ll see it if I ever get a chest x-ray.
Thanks for trying to be modest, but did you DUCT TAPE a towel across your pubes? The removal of the tape had to be worse than the tat.
And Indygrrl, I love that tattoo, but I would always want to be naked, I wouldn’t want to have straps or shirts impeding the view.
Lol, well, I’m that way enough of the time. Plenty of people get to see the tattoo in all its glory.
