Shower plumbing question

In recent weeks my hot water flow in the shower seems to have decreased,ie,it takes more turns of the hot handle/knob to get my mixture right between hot and cold for my liking.

I tried cleaning the old showerhead, putting a new one on,to no avail.

I thought possibly * diverter ?*,but even in the down position (water going to tub rather than shower) it still has the same uneven turn ratio between hot and cold for my temp preference.

My shower/bath setup is hot control diverter? cold control.

I replaced those washers myself within the past about year to 2.I didn’t replace the stems just the washers and seats.Doesn’t drip like it did before my repair and worked fine until about 2 weeks ago.

What could be going on here? What should I look for if I take off the handles to inspect the stems/washers/seats.

Hot pressure is normal at every other location in the house, kitchen, lavatories, etc.

Is it possible someone has changed the thermostat setting on your water heater?

No the water is hot, just as in every other location in the house,it just doesn’t have the same flow rate/pressure as the other hot faucets.

I have to open the hot handle more turns than anywhere else to get the desired flow rate. And this just in the last 2 weeks or so.

No drips,or other leaks I can see.

There could be gunk in the stem preventing water flow, might have been something that came from the hot water heater. It sounds like you checked the easiest and most obvious causes but I would look at the stem and possibly replace it.
