Shows I wish had lasted longer

I’m still only on season two of 24, but Netfix is definitely the way to watch it. The weekly cliffhanger endings would drive you nuts if you had to actually wait a week. It’s far better to sit down and take it three or four eps at a time.

Yeah. Never even lasted as long as Firefly. My two favorite shows that never completed a single season.

The folks at the network probably lost it when Jim says “Hi Mom” after French kissing his mom. That sort of stuff never goes down well with the suits.

I was a fan from the start - saw the first airing of the pilot… oh wait, no, they didn’t air the pilot, which was why no one understood the first episode they did air, which I saw when they first aired it. Then they interrupted the show for about a month due to Baseball, then it was on and off the air for another month before they finally cancelled it. Never had a chance, and it was the best thing on TV.

Three episodes - almost a quarter of the episodes they made - were nominated for Hugo awards, so it wasn’t just one of those bad shows that ardent fans claim were good.

Luckily, it’s available on DVD and Blu-Ray in its complete form, and in the order it should have aired, so at least there’s the consolation that people can still find it.

Another vote for Crusade

Wish Life on Mars (uk) had have gone on longer. Tried watching LoM (us) but the exact same storys, but with american cars and actors, seemed kind of pointless.

Wish list

Battlestar G, spin off with a different ending/beginning and not devolving to the stone age.

Declan

OK – old but I missed it first time around.

Hello Larry and Best of the West ----- I really loved both of those shows. And maybe a shout out for Sledge Hammer.

No one’s mentioned “Journeyman” yet. Love time travel stories.

And, going back a ways, “The Invaders”. The first season he was alone, the second he had allies, a third would have been nice.
