Every day i always spend a couple of hours doing the chores around the house, although ‘the lady of the house’ does not like the way it it maintained.:frowning: :eek: There are two other sisters and, they do not do any fucking housework, they will not clean unless they are watched :rolleyes: and who has time for that shit. At my house nobody will do the following chores: :rolleyes: scoop out the litterbox, :o :frowning: clean the bathrooms, dust, wash or fold clothes, wipe off counters. :o :rolleyes :mad :mad:

The bitching from the peanut gallery does not end, nor from the complaints of the lady of the house. :eek: :o Apparently you can accomplish more by throwing shit everywhere, bitching at the lackey, and by pure nastiness that by actually doing the dirty work. :mad: and Do not dare to buy some of the proper tools, :rolleyes: that might actually make my tasks easier!Forinstance: buy a mop more often that once a goddamn decade;have enough cleaning product on hand; maintain the damn vacuum cleaner. :wally:

She finally bought a mop, and i used it for the floors, then i got yelled at for cleaning the bathrooms at 7pm, and for using a mop meant for the ceiling. WTF??!! I do not know why you bother, i have yet to see you mop the ceiling, and you certainly will not spoil your manicure by cleaning bathrooms, can’t have that. I will not mop on my hands and knees, you can kiss my ass. :wally: :eek: :o

And I try and do a couple hours’ worth every day, but somedays i just don’t give a fuck, 10/26 was one of them- see why!

*Here is a list of what i have been doing and the time it takes for each task, also how often it has to be done. per week 1400 sq.ft. house also the days i do them on
Vacuuming-- 3 or 4 times avg, 30 minutes mon.wed. fri. sat.
Picking up junk-- varies every day
Clean bathrooms-- once a week - 45 minutes apiece, thurs.
Mopping – 10 minutes, once every other week, thurs
Laundry – 1-2 days folding clothes is included.
Litterbox 3 or 4 times a week, 5 min
Dishwashing 20 minutes each time, not often

i feel tired just looking at the list. Anyway. Other stuff is includes Cleaning pantry, 2 hrs with break; cleaning fridge, hour and a half; yard work 2 hours, but not often. i will not clean the bathrooms more than once a week, i try not to fold clothes if i can help it, and i will not put away other peoples clothing, nor take it from thier room.

Tired of the lady of the house, sick of her complaining, irritated with tantrums from the peanut gallery!

It’s hard to keep doing the thankless tasks of the household, and harder still to keep doing it when it seems that nobody cares. I think that you’re doing the right thing, though. They need to be done. And when you move out, you will have a much easier time of it. Keeping house for 1 or 2 is much easier than for a family.

i do feel a lot like cinderella. i get aggravated with the sibs and the lady of the house, she doea spend a lot of time complaining about it, then she will go and watch or the internet.

one of the sibs will help me, but it does depend on what i ask her to do.
the other sibling, mostly all i can get her to do is wash dishes and clean her room. when asked to rake leaves, she said “oh you’re crazy.you need to put down the beer bottle.” AT ELEVEN O’CLOCK IN THE AM!! then she walked away muttering, apparently she was on the phone.
she does bitch a lot about washing the goddamed dishes, i do not know or care why.

BUT THE PHONE THING? that is a whole other story…

Okay, I’m confused.

Is this your family? Is it your mother you are referring to as “the lady of the house”? Or is this a family you just live with? If so, why? Or are you an au pair/nanny/live-in help of some kind?

My response to a complaint such as yours would depend on what your status is in the house. If this is your family, why the heck doesn’t anybody else do anything?

Anya–I feel your pain. I live with my girl and I’m the one who gets stuck cleaning the house. I’ve nicknamed her Half Job because when she finally does do something (only after repeated requests from yours truly) she only does half the job. She’ll take the trash out but not replace the garbage bag. She’ll do the laundry but not fold the clothes. She’ll drink water from the filtering container but not fill it back up. I’m not going to go into detail because it’ll just make me mad, but I just wanted to let you know you are definitly not alone.

Jodi, i am the oldest of 4 daughters, i do not know why they do not domuch housework. My Mother Is the “lady of the house” i was referring to. I do not kow what i would do if i was live-in help somewhere.

i do know how many times i have posted to my thread

and now an update

I told them that i was going to move soon, now that ihad a new job, and some money. i told them i wanted to move NOW, literally yesterday, and now my father want me to wait a year before i move out, till i can get a car, and be established at my job.

i had been told a trillion times growing up that my parents were not going to buy a car for me and pay all the bills that go with it. And i accepted it, i did not expect them to do any more than cosign for the loan. Now apparently they want me to wait A WHOLE ANOTHER YEAR so they can take me driving, and take the test. i have not gone driving with them in months, and only really go driving with my best friend whenever she can fit it in.

22 now, and i am not going to have nor stand for it! i do not need your permission and well you know it. Keep telling me i have to move and now that i have a fucking chance to get the hell out, apparently it is not the right time,if not now when? Why do i have to wait on you, why now? You should have known that this was coming and once i was employed that i would want to move.

anyway. I have to stay to make sure that the twins know what their new chores will be, and how to do them. Why Now this concern? Why me? why can’t you teach them? i knew how to do all off the chores when i was 14, i did not always do a good job, and often tried to get out of it, but i have reformed a bit and do them even if i do not like it.

i will be damned if they listen, i know they can vacuum, dust and pick up but fuck this!! It is your job to teach then and i do not give a fuck if you do not like it!! you should have taught them when you had the goddamn chance. bad enough you made me babysit, AND TRY TO CONTROL THEM WHEN YOU WOULD NOT OR COULD NOT, AND I DO NOT KNOW WHY YOU ARE STARTING TO CARE NOW!!!

Wow… HOpe you get out soon. :slight_smile: I doubt they’ll know what to do once you leave the house. Be sure not to leave a number they can call, or screen the calls. They might learn after awhile how to do housework on their own again, but you never can take chances.
