Odishon/Audition was probably the grossest thing I’ve ever watched. I’ll willingly read about all these gross movies, but will never, ever watch them because the images will stay with me for days and I won’t be able to eat or sleep (seriously, I haven’t seen Gummo, but I’ve read a lot about it, and every time I masochistically read the IMDB boards on it I feel sick to my stomach.) I am disturbed by people who say that Saw is their favorite movie. If you can watch that over and over, there is something wrong with you- it isn’t fun gore like a 1970s zombie movie, it’s sadistic gore. I am honestly ooged out by the recent trend of torture porn- can anyone who has watched some of the movies mentioned here comment on whether or not they are worse than movies like Saw or Hostel?
I saw **Mordum **the other day, and yes it was incredibly disgusting, but it was just such a *bad *movie. While the acts presented were vile in the extreme, I actually expected more gore since I had always heard it was “the grossest film you will ever see!!1!1!!” That one seems more like the **Hostel **films (including one scene involving scissors…) in that it just shows evil people torturing random people.
The **Saw **movies, on the other hand, are done in a way that’s amusing (but still gross.) The elaborateness of the traps & methods of execution are much more interesting than just “killer uses blow torch on woman’s face” or “killer disembowels woman.” They’re still gross, but in an intriguing way.
What was the original ending?
I don’t think it exists, if it ever did & is not just legend. It sure wasn’t on the new DVD release.
Anyway, the missing ending only clears up the fate of Hercules. What happened to Cleopatra is much worse. (“Cawk! cawk!”)
Best to leave all of Europe alone altogether, all of it is like that
Thanks for the memories. I went along to watch “a movie” at a friend’s house, and this was the feature. I left to sit out on the front porch shortly after the tooth-pulling scene began. One friend came out and asked if I was OK, should they watch something else, and I just said oh no, if you’re enjoying it (and they seemed to be), you go ahead, I’ll just sit out here, it’s a nice evening. For that I was dubbed a party-pooper.
I’d rather be a party-pooper than watch THAT.
The more egregious the behavior of the group, the more insistent the demand for acquiescence. In another place and time, it all might have ended in an all too realistic little reenactment of the events on screen, with you as the object.
Mods: I have no idea if this would be considered an improper post. If it is, snip away.
Cannibal Holocaust
complete.

How dare you have a functional sense of empathy!
Last House on the Left (1972) fairly disturbing.
Freddy got Fingered (2001) insultingly aweful.
There’s a film called “The Berlin Ripper” or similar I saw a while back that was very disturbing.
I was going to nominate Meet the Feebles, but after reading the thread, it’s starting to seem pretty tame.
I guess I just don’t get out much.
So what is it?
Sunday’s Game is about the most sick short film I have ever seen.
Pretty Persuasion is up there for a full length movie. It is about a very smart sociopathic teenage girl that manipulates everyone without any remorse resulting in lots of tragedy.
In addition to showing the gymnast transformed into a human chicken, Browning also included a scene with Hercules singing soprano.
Still not nearly on the same level as most of the other films mentioned.
Broken is pretty disturbing. Surprisingly enough, many of the graphic torture scenes with Bob Flanagan were not faked at all and appear in the official commercial video for Happiness in Slavery. The framing sequences are quite realistic and therefore more affecting than the slicker professional-looking parts.
I’m going to spend enough time just trying to get that synopsis out of my brain, let alone watching the freakin’ movie! “Oh, HELL no” just about sums it up.
Really, when I was younger, I could deal with more disturbing stuff, it seems. As I’ve gotten older, this stuff just gets into my brain.
I don’t think there’s a single film in this list that I would watch these days.
As far as Pink Flamingos (a somewhat amusing anecdote): I lived most of my life in a suburb of Baltimore, MD. As some of you may know, John Waters is a Baltimore native. The Walter’s Art Gallery, as such, had a showing of (I think) three John Waters films, Pink Flamingos being one of them. But this sign was outside the window where they were selling tickets (paraphrased, since it’s from memory):
“Even though these films are being shown in an art gallery, many people would not consider them art. We are showing these films to honor a native Baltimorean. Some of these films contain very disturbing graphic images. If you are not familiar with the work of John Waters, please do not purchase tickets to this event”.
Trivia - top Google result for “Divine” is Divine Chocolates
Not that I want to run out and rent it or anything, but…
What’s the movie in which a woman is licking the scalp of a newborn?
Beaches.

Holy Cow, I forgot Freddie Got Fingered!
Now that you’ve reminded me, I sure hope I can manage to forget it again.
