Is witnessing allowed in custom titles? And isn’t that what posting a bible verse is, more or less?
Since witnessing is only allowed in Great Debates, does that mean that person can only post in GD? ![]()
I’m pretty sure Silenus is entirely secular in his outlook. One can make allusions to the bible without witnessing. Witnessing is attempting to convert. He’s also a school teacher.
Jesus wept.
I noticed it and while not a fan (of the title) it doesn’t annoy me. I have been known to make Biblical-sounding quotes now and then but I usually attribute them to Dalmatians - Chapter 4, verse 2. Since I knew the actual quote it struck me in a negative fashion but not to the level I would call jerkish.
Isn’t that from the Book of Armaments, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one?
Actually, only verses nine and forty-five.
I thought was verse 101.
One! Two! Five!
^ Three, sir!
-Faux Quote for purposes of satirical relief-
" One Gorm to fool them all, and one Gorm to Enlight’n them.
A Weenie to raise up the call and on The Dope Boards find them. "
There’s always one Gluten-Free Radical wrecking the bake sale for aaaaaaalllll the other kids !
You would too if you had to use a mortar and pestle to grind up raw onions. ![]()
As to the OP: It feels Jerkish to me, but lots of things feel Jerkish to lots of us. I’d gladly defer to our pressed-out Moderators/ Perfect Master when it comes to this kind of ruling.
Not profane, but it is cetainly jerkish
This argument would be acceptable in Great Debates I think … some Bible thumper comes along thumping his “God given right to own a gun”, thumping the Bible back on the Bible thumpers is fair game … not jerkish, not profane, it’s a legitimate argument … as a Christian I’m deeply offended, but that’s my problem, not his … (I’m worried he’s right) …
