In many (most?) languages google translate is really bad, I know. Its Japanese to English is pretty bad.

Thanks everyone. I’m thinking of using several of these, instead of just one. I might ask a dedicated Latin forum before I finalize anything - I did that once about 15 years ago, and they were happy to help. Kinda surprised we didn’t have several Latin buffs here - we must be slipping. 
ISTM the Latin edition goes beyond merely pretty bad…
Eg “Audaces manus multos labores pariunt”?
Aren’t there a few genuine Latin scholars on this board though? Or at least someone who has actually read and written some Latin recently?
I think “Trying is the first step to failure” is more succinct.
