I saw a reveiw of that movie “The Straight Story” a few months ago. The one about the fella driving across the country on a lawnmower imparting earthy wisdom to everyone he meets.
One of his gems is something to the effect “One twig you can break, but a whole bunch of them is difficult, so stick together (no pun intended)”. Jeez, I heard papa smurf say that to all the other smurfs 15 years ago. That similarity put me off going to see that movie.
Anybody else have a similar experience, especially when the first place you heard the line would be considered a lower order of entertainment?
