When will this episode be aired in The First World?
In one episode it is made clear they are a male/female pair. I can’t find anything in the cast info at snpp that says which is which.
As to the “in/out” business. Just because you are gay and some people (e.g., all the people who watch the show) know it doesn’t mean that you are “out”. It is clear that Patty and Smithers are not “out” to one and all. Although for Smithers it is getting difficult, even Burns seems aware.

Re: Patty.
She dated Principal Skinner for a short while, but had to break up with him due to the fact that she shared a “special bond” with her twin sister. This is right after he proposed to her.
Although this is hardly firm evidence of heterosexuality, they did end up pretty hot ‘n’ heavy near the end, and she seemed quite disappointed when she had to turn him down…
