Dude. The River Styx was absolutely the best part of the entire episode. I almost literally knocked my chair over because I was spasming in such hysterics. The best part? I had a dusk-to-dawn reading of the real Odyssey on Friday night. Really great to see the Simpsons’ take on it right aferwards.
Yeah, it was so funny. “Now remember, the kid gets one practice stab…”
And, “Take a sweater…a sweater!” And I loved the River Styx gag. And the Joan of Arc thing was so true- I mean, there MUST have been an English god appointed hero.
I even got to see it a second time, on Monday, in English class. (Because we’re reading Hamlet, so of course, TV tie in!)
