A friend is into Sims 2 but isn’t on the Net. We haven’t registered her game yet so I can’t ask Qs on the Sims 2 official forum. (I can search, tho- go figure.) So I’m looking for hints or fixes that would help her maximize interpersonal chemistry, maximize abilities, and fit personality types with jobs. Any Simsters here who can help at least direct us to where to go or, if possible, what to do?
I’m not sure if I’m answering this right, but here goes.
Chemistry is based on your sim’s turn-ons/turn-offs. If two sims aren’t attracted to one another, it’s usually because one of them has a turn-off characteristic or not enough turn-on characteristics. You can change turn-ons/offs by using the Renu-U Porta-Chug that you can either find already in your sim’s inventory or you can buy it.
You can tell what kind of jobs your sim might like by looking at his/her interests. The easiest way to prepare a sim to move up quickly in a job is to send him/her to college as a young adult. If you don’t want to do that, you can look in your manual to see what the different careers are. Next to each of them, it should tell you what kinds of skills you need to be successful in that job. For example, if you want your sim to be a doctor, you’re going to need skills such as mechanical, logic, and cleaning. Study up on those skills and you’ll be able to move up quite quickly. You also need friends, of course, to move up in many jobs.
I hope that answers some of your questions. If you are looking for cheats I’m afraid I can’t help you out much there. I don’t really use cheats except motherlode every now and then.
