Subject really says it all. I’ve got Night Life, but not University. I wonder if, for any reason, the expansion packs need to be installed in order of release to avoid introducing general bugginess.
Anybody actually do this?
If expansion packs for the original were installed out of order, it made you to reinstall them in the correct order. I’m sure Sims 2 would do the same thing if it requires them in order of release.
You shouldn’t have any problems with that. I’ve done it twice so far (my 'puter blew up last semester and I lost everything) and I haven’t had a single problem yet. There’s been no mention of problem with installing out of order in any of the user manuals or Prima guides. Now word from Maxis at all on this, good or bad. You could install in order if you makes you feel safer, but I haven’t heard anything about problems with installing out of order from any of the many TS2 groups I read: LJ, Mod the Sims 2, The Sims Resource.
The only problems I’ve ever had with TS2, actually, were from that stupid buggy racecar. That was before any of the expansions, though, and I can’t even really remember what went wrong.
