You guys are some gaslighting fools. There is just no way this is an honest read of my views. I have expressed nothing but deep admiration and respect for the man. And i have articulated nothing but even greater esteem for him upon learning of the true, much greater, obstacles that he overcame to live the life he lived. What the fuck is “weird” or “questionable” about these perspectives. Tupac probably being gay is met with nothing but positive energy, empathy and love for my fellow man. I haven’t expressed one single thought in this thread that i wish i hadnt or that i wish i had a second chance to rewrite… I resolutely stand by all my posts in this thread. I asked for the thread to be closed IF NO ONE ELSE PARTICIPATING IN THE THREAD had any issue with such action.

No, i stand by my words. Every single one. I realized that I had no possibility of achieving anything but my own self-immolation so i asked for it to be closed because I was the one who started the thread, I no longer wanted to continue what i saw as a pointless endeavor. Considering the fact that the only thing the other posters in the thread seemed interested in discussing was all the things that made me awful or stupid or weird or angry or immature or etc., I honestly didnt think there wad any point in keeping it open if I had no desire to keep discussing the topic.

But look: It’s one thing for a mod to step in and close a thread because it’s a trainwreck.

It’s another to do it because OP requests it because they regret starting it. I suppose there may be examples of that particular situation, but I while I can recall some of the former, I can’t recall any of the latter.

It was probably going to be closed by a mod anyway and the fact that the OP requested it be closed shouldn’t prevent the mods from doing it.

Closed, not at the request of anyone, but because we don’t need another trainwreck produced by closing a trainwreck.

Since other posters have made it clear that their main intention is to take Ambivalid task, I suggest the best way to do that is to open a new thread in the Pit. Of course you can quote the previous thread. Have at it.
