Single worst Beatles song

Early: PS I Love You;

Late: Penny Lane.

“Don’t Let Me Down from Past Masters”-Vol. 2. Ouch.

MacArthur Park.

Argggghhhhhh.

It may not be their “worst song,” but I absolutely loathe Hey Jude! Gah! It’s foul and insipid. I never want to hear it again.

I don’t think the Beatles ever did this. I GOT BLISTERS ON MA FINGERS

Hayyy and Chris W; thanks for the info om Revolution #9

Darn, never post witout previewing. That should be:

Happy and Chris W;l thanks for the info on Revolution #9. Never knew.
And the variation in titles is getting bigger, now that even gems like Penny Lane are mentioned as worst song. Is What is this world going to?

I give up, please mentally remove error(s) in previous post.

They haven’t mentioned it because it’s a damn good song!

I’d probably just go with Honey Pie though these lyrics of Ringo’s from Don’t Pass Me By are worth mentioning: “I’m sorry that I doubted you, I was so unfair/You were in a car crash and you lost your hair”

Eh, maybe I haven’t given it enough of a chance. It just failed to get its hooks into me so far.

Paul is dead, man! You didn’t know he was in a car crash and was decrapitated? THIS PROVES IT!!

Now, don’t make me go medieval on your hiney! I love that song.

Worst song is the repetitious Yellow Submarine…

Paul’s envisioning himself as the fool on the hill!?

Thank you for ruining that song for me forever.

I’d like to give “Dr. Robert” a positive vote to negate all the negative votes it’s received here.

Worst Beatles song? I’ll be boring an go with “Mr. Moonlight.”

Let It Be. How many times can you say the same (IMO stupid) thing?
Runners up: Revolution 9, Across the Universe, I Want You (She’s So Heavy)

FTR, I love Led Zeppelin’s “The Crunge” more than some of their more popular songs (such as Thank You, Gallows Pole, Dazed and Confused.) And I’m a huge LZ and Beatles fan.

It’s not very good. On the other hand, the Beatles didn’t write it so they can’t take all the blame.

The story I’ve heard is they let George pick a cover to sing on ‘With the Beatles’, and for whatever reason this is the one he wanted to do.

But it’s got ‘Hey, Bulldog’ on it! A truly underappreciated (and underplayed, if that’s possible) Beatles song.

Alias and I were talking about this thread the other day, and I mentioned Because as a song that I would hate to see listed. However, as someone has already listed one of my absolute favorites, A Day in the Life, I can’t say I’m too surprised.

I am sort of surprised that no one’s mentioned Baby’s in Black yet. Okay, she’s in black, I get it! Sheesh!

That is cold man. Real cold. :frowning:

“Looking Through a Glass Onion”

and any number of the songs that were on the B side of Abbey road.

(Anybody here remember what the B side was?)
