Sinners Sin Because They Hate God

Maybe they’re telling us that they can point fingers at least as well as they can reflect upon their lives (but who am I to judge? )

Speaking as a nonpracticing “Christian” (to use the term very loosely), it seems that one of the goals of religion is to provide a moral code of conduct so that we don’t have to learn everything empirically by having life smack us in the face. One of the problems with having people learn a code of conduct though is that the meaning of the lesson can be lost, that people will follow the rules without even knowing what the rules meant in the first place.

Then again, what do I know. I try to do the right thing, but I sometimes live a good life that would make some Baptists or Pentacostals faint!

Bing bing bing bing! Folks, we have a winner.

Well, that’s why I sin, anyway.
