Standard Australian rhyming slang, “Yanks” = “Septic Tanks” = “Seppos”. Not really intended to be offensive, or at least not nowadays. More in the range of “Pom” for an English person, or “Frog” for a French person, but lamer. I knew an American who used it of herself, I believe.

Well, crap. I paid the $14.95 subscription fee for six_personalities. I did it because he’s non-U.S. and supposedly didn’t have a credit card or paypal. Someone was trying to work something out with him, but they couldn’t get it to work, so I paid the money out of pity.
If he/she was indeed a sock, how did the original person pay the fee?

Sorry, but I have no mroe to report. A week or two after I learned about it, I drove down the road where DQ lives. I saw Bayboy and DQ’s new horse in the paddock out front. I haven’t gone back since to see if he’s still there. I really should, though what I can do about him, if he looks healthy, beats me.
On a brighter note, Baygirl is quite happy now at our barn. She does a few lessons and is ridden, shown in low-level dressage, and adored by a horseless young girl. The girl had a wonderful time recently, taking a lesson with Baygirl with the marvelous instructor I use. Hope was so enthused that she’s asked her parents for more a birthday gift of more lessons with Sue.
Meh. If you’re kind & generous, it’s likely some one will take advantage of you at some point in your life. Best just to say “What an asshole that guy was!” and move on. You could try going the cynical route, but we got a surplus o that at the moment.
