Sitcoms without Christmas shows?

I was thinking the other day Roseanne is the only sitcom I could come up with that never had a Christmas show. Had Thanksgiving. Had plenty of Halloween. Couldn’t think of a single Christmas episode.

Then I was watching it the other night and lo and behold. They had at least one.

Even Seinfeld has Festivus which I think counts.

Is there any traditional type (family and or workplace usually) sitcom that has completely avoided the holiday spirit?

Well, there’s all the shows that got cancelled before they ran a full season…

Roseanne Christmas.

Mrs. Torgo tells me that **Mad About You ** never did Xmas episodes, though they did do Thanksgiving episodes. She asserts this was Paul Reiser’s understated way of identifying the Buchmans as Jewish.

Wasn’t the Conner family (Roseanne) Jewish?

I doubt it - but Rossane Barr herself is Jewish, so I suppose she just wanted to avoid the subject of Christmas

No…Dan is Baptist on his mothers side (the crazy clogdancing for Jesus side), Baptist on his father. Roseanne is Lutheran (that one I’m not sure about) on her mother’s and Jewish on her father’s*.

But they believe in being good so that makes them…good people. Just not practising.
*Which I believe is what the real Roseanne is…half Jewish, and seems to consider herself more Jewish but probably mostly because she doesn’t like Christians.
I didn’t know Jamie was supposed to be Jewish! With Helen Hunt such a schiksa?
You would think then that they’d do a Channuka episode instead. I was trying to think of shows with Jewish characters but in most cases there were still enough Gentiles around to care the day.
Ok, so, one so far, Mad About You

Err…that should be Pentacostal on his crazy clogdancing side.
