Sites Like Blippy.com & Swipely.com

I think I have a fairly good idea on how to aggregate transactional data. The idea is similar to both blippy.com and swipely.com but it has more public good angle. I interested in how much this kind of data is worth. And what firms specifically would be interested in this type of data. However stupid some people believe these sites to be, they have raised a considerable amount of funding.

I am familiar of a company called www.acxiom.com so I know the data holds some value. If anybody wants to know how much of science marketing has become check out this frontline episode, http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/persuaders?

And your question in search of a factual answer is …?

How much is transactional data worth and who are the buyers? I felt that was clear.

If the OP had ‘clearly’ contained such a question, it would have contained, at the minimum, a question, followed by a question mark.

I’m sorry for my etiquette and I will be more direct in the future.

Young Scrappy. I"m closing this one before it spirals out of control. I know you’re not a “comment spammer” based on your history here.

PLEASE feel free to start out another thread in GQ asking the questions you tried to here.
