Six Degrees of Wikipedia

from Apache Point Observatory

to James Meehan

You’ve stumped me. I can get all the way to European Exploration of Australia, but Meehan’s not listed!

You can post the first half, but from there,

Mine is

(And I promise I did it without searching, too!)

Another random selection:

Beyond This Place to 1976 Cleveland Browns season

New challenge:
Sonia Oback to Diddillibah, Queensland

This is ridiculously circuitous, but here goes:

Next up:

Googlewhack to Edmund Bourne

Edmund Bourne is fully orphaned. Luckily, it is categorized, so:

Go for:
Parosphromenus to Belaire High School

How about:

Leninsky Prospekt

to

Broken Social Scene

Qualdir to Zonggu

Zonggu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zonggu)

I’m terrible at this! I’m curious to see how many steps can be shaved off my long-winded solution.

My challenge:

Arnold von Winkelried (Arnold von Winkelried - Wikipedia)
to
Cecil Adams (Cecil Adams - Wikipedia)

lets do Queen Elizabeth I to Lemony Snicket

Next up, in honor of my birthday:

1977 to Zanesville, Ohio

I see this backward, but don’t see the link from Queen_Elizabeth_I to English_language (though I could be missing it).
1977
Ohio State University
Ohio
Zanesville
…What WhyNot said.

Too easy!

Okay, another random pair:
Vinorine synthase to Henry Weekes

Third paragraph in the “Early Life” section; the actual link says “English” but it goes to the English language entry.

MsWhatsit, thanks.

WhyNot, Vinorine synthase is an ugly, ugly entry!

Indeed. However, I have just succeeded in my own challenge, so I know it CAN be done! (I did it in 8 pages, including the starting and ending pages in that count.)

As I’m headed off to bed, I’ll leave a solution in a spoilerbox, so I don’t have to remember it tomorrow if no one figures it out!

Okay, without looking at the spoiler, here’s the solution I came up with (one fewer link than WhyNot’s solution!):

New challenge:

Candy Land to Cosi fan tutte

Ah, okay, and now having looked at the spoiler, I see that WhyNot had almost the exact same solution I did, except he missed the fact that the Royal Academy was linked directly from the United Kingdom page.
