Yes, 12" singles (we called them “maxi-singles” in Germany), which often contained a cappellas or remixes as well. You could physically see where to make the transition on the vinyl and for fun I’d try (often successfully) to identify records by their groove patterns. :slight_smile:

I ran across something that will likely be down your alley. While I don’t agree with all of the choices, at a glance I’d recommend about half of them for your needs. It even has a few songs that overlap with my previous recommendations. It also has a song that I’m ashamed I forgot, as it is the perfect song for the situation, Vaughan Mason & Company - Bounce, Rock, Skate, Roll.
