Skeletons in the closet – a scandalous MMP

Holy crap rosie! Has the other couple seen your place? Is everything within everyone’s price ranges? Sending good vibes your way!!!

Now that my cold is finally giving me a break, I decided to clean the bedroom. I’m glad that the room is big enough to allow me to move furniture from one side to the other to easily wash the floor. I am not glad that there’s so much floor to wash. I detest carpet but there are some times in life when I just wish I could pass a vacuum and be done with it.

You’re going to move TWO BLOCKS away???

uh, yeah. You got a problem wif dat?

eta - well maybe. No stones have been carved, yet.

Rosie!!!

That’s awesome. Good vibes, good vibes, good vibes.

I am very wound up and anxious right now. I think I’m gonna have me a nice cold adult beverage, crawl in to bed, and chill out to some mindless TV.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis <snerk> 69 <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91. We are also promised rain this afternoon. We shall see. Earlier promises of rain did not happen. :dubious: Also, today is brunch Sunday at the church house. We are sayin’ our official goodbye to our Deacon who is bein’ transferred back where he came from. We are not happy with this, but we do have a Transitional Deacon (a Deacon who will be ordained soon) who will become our official Deacon and we lurve her. Still gonna miss Deacon Jim. Not that he’s out of my life forever because he will still be invited over for dindin and such as outside of church we’ve become good friends. Anywho, I made a big ol’ Chikin Divan casserole which needs to be heated up. I love my Corning Ware carrier thingy with the heat pack that keeps stuff warm up to four hours. IMO one of the greatest inventions ever.

Rosie great news! Good vibes headed out along with crossed appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed. Looks like this could be a win-win deal for everybody. Of course, the big question is, how does Smokey feel about all of this.

Now I need more caffiene and some brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then casserole needs to get heated up and purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Good morning!

Very exciting, rosie! I hope all the pieces fall in place for you! Would your tenant convey with the house, or are you tenantless at the moment? I know I should keep notes about your personal life, but… Anyway, all kinds of good vibes shooting your way!

Oddly enough, tho last night was kinda chilly, it was a cat-free night for me. I came out and found both of them curled up in this room - at the opposite end of the house from my side of the bed. Very weird, since Taz usually plasters himself against me and Ziva “guards” the hallway all night. Cats is weird…

Today should be a perfect day for futzing in the yard, not that I intend to do a lot today. I will get the last of the marigolds planted and mulched, finally finishing the front garden. If I still feel like it, I’ll start disassembling the ring of rocks that encircled the light pole which we had yanked out. I’ll need to fill the hole from the pole - it’s probably 4" in diameter and maybe 18" deep - not a gaping pit, but big enough to do bad things to my ankle if I forget it’s there. There were also 8 or 9 hostas in that bed, and they’ll have a new home behind the forsythia hedge in front of the bedroom windows - also an easy job.

**FCD **plans to leave around 2 today. I got all the laundry done yesterday which will make packing easy for him - no last minute panic if he discovers something he needs is dirty. I may take advantage of his absence over the next few days and run the carpet cleaner, especially since I can leave the house open. There are so many hork spots, plus regular daily crud, that this cleaning is long overdue. Three rooms, three days - it should work out well.

In the meantime, he’s still crashed. I don’t know if he’ll want to go out for breakfast or just forage in the pantry. I’m hungry, but if I eat, he’ll get all pissy if he wants to go out. OK, not pissy, but really disappointed. It’s not worth the aggravation, so I’ll wait. And whine.

Happy Sunday!

Blurf.

Karmacally, it’s beautiful. Financially, not so much. The whole point is to put me in a position to move from red to black in less than three years. Buying that (lovely, perfect, can’t wait to decorate it) house would keep me in the red for ten years or more.
I’m not giving up on it, though. I’m crunching numbers and Niece,Esq is being helpful. Perhaps it will work, perhaps it won’t and I’ll have to find another place. Either way I am motivated to make this change.

All purtified for deheathenization and casserole is doin’ it’s thing in the oven. I forgot to mention I have ush duty so must be there a little earlyish. OYKW is makin’ noises like he’ll just drive his ownself a little later on. Ok. He’s an adult. I can permit that.

MOOOOOOM I suggest you go into the bedroom and loudly announce that you fear you shall faint from hunger soon if you do not receive nourishment. That’ll give him a hint.

I made rice pudding of a sort this morning. Just put some cinnamon and soymilk in some leftover rice and heated it up. It would be better with raisins but I’m out.

I need to figure out what to say in the emails I’m sending out to all these ads for roommates/apartments. I hate calling people on the phone. Are there form letters onlines? Probably. Meh, I hate moving.

Sending good thoughts your way**, rosie. **I hope things work out the way you need and want them to work out.

Yesterday was a looooong day. We drove over six hundred miles round trip to pick up my son from college. However, the drive was pretty and we listened to a book on CD during the trip so that kept us occupied.

We saw two accidents and a coyote that came damn close to causing an accident because it ran across the highway in front of cars. We also a SUV completely engulfed in flames at a rest stop. Through the smoke and flames, we could see there wasn’t much left of the vehicle except for the frame.

Today promises to be another busy day as there is talk of going to breakfast, along with a run to the hardware store to buy a couple of things and switch out propane tanks for the grill. On top of that, a run to the butcher shop is anticipated along with a run to the grocery store to pick up the fixings for pasta salad. Finally, there’s a slew of yard work that needs doing. I need another weekend day; this weekend has been jam packed and I know I’m going to be worn out tomorrow.

I’m alive. I think I still have some liver left in my cirrhosis.

Good luck on the house, rosie.

Good luck with the house, rosie and well done on salvaging something from your liver, Doggio!

We have spent a large part of the day walking around the zoo looking at lots of fun animals and wishing the fence around the lions and tigers was a bit lower so we could have lobbed the really annoying whiny children in there. On the way there we bought limes and on the way back we bought rum so there will be a variety of cocktails on the go tonight. Good job I don’t have to go to work tomorrow.

I’ve also planted out some potatoes in tubs in the garden and potted my pepper seedlings into a bigger pot. I am going to veg on the sofa with a cup of tea now, and then it’ll be time to decide what to cook for dinner tonight.

I’ve decided to waste the day. We had a nice breakfast at Lenny’s, then ran to WalMart for some glasses-cleaning spray, down to FCD’s office to get something he needs for this trip, then to check on the boat. He’s getting ready to start packing and I’ve decided the garden can wait till tomorrow. I just don’t want to deal with it. So I won’t. Instead, I’ll watch Netflix and crochet.

It’s nice being an adult and being able to make such decisions.

Lazy Sunday today and it has been great! Woke up early ish then mr ems went out on his bike for a bit and I went for coffee. I have filled in the rest of the Greencard paperwork and we went for lunch and now we are watching movies. There is likely a nap in my future.

That sounds like a wonderful opportunity, rosie. Reminds me of when I saw my house the first time. Happened to walk by it on the way to the library and it pretty much called out to me. I actually called the owners and got a tour the next day. Conveniently, Local Best Friend’s then-boyfriend worked for a mortgage company and got me a very nice deal. And I’ve lived haopily ever after.

I’ve finished cleaning the office and made significant headway cleaning out the bedreoom. Brother cleaned the living room and dining room and we’ve each worked on our bedrooms. Also, I’ve done some laundry. Next I’ll plant some bulbs (dahlias, leopard alms, and something else I’ve forgotten. Then it’s down to the basement to do further clean up. Also going to drop off some recycling and donations. Yay!

I could use another day of weekend as well.

Hugs all.

GT

My sweetie is on his way. I just talked to my mom (oh, my aching ears - she can talk…) and I had some leftover pizza. Perfectly lazy afternoon! Next step is to assume the crochet position in front of the TV and be a bum for the rest of the day. Yay!

Howdy Y’all! All deheathenated, brunched and da cave is all defilthyfied. Plus, ‘tis rainin’! YAY!!! There also be boom booms. I like boom booms.

Hmmm… I have some leftover pizza in the beerator (what? where better to store it than near the beer!) that I was considerin’ to be N.O.L. tomorrow but I think it may be callin ’ out to me now.

Good luck on the apartment hunt Spaz.

My sweetie just called - he just got to Johnstown. I just finished watching Flowers in the Attic on our free On Demand channel - what a creepy movie!! I’m thinking about what to do for supper, altho I’m not all that hungry. Maybe I’ll just have some cheese-n-crackers.

It’s boring here. I miss my sweetie. :frowning:

I’m having tequila chipolte chicken burritos. The zoo and I are watching hockey.
