Skeletons in the closet – a scandalous MMP

Moooooom, did they drill deep enough to hear the screams of the damned in hell?

Well, I heard some noises, but I think they were from the compressor and the pump. No screams. Sorry. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just back from Lowe’s where I got some flowers to plant tomorrow - impatiens, marigolds, and moss roses. I’ll do both gardens out front and they should be done, except for maintenance. So yay for getting that done (or so I anticipate.)

BLT’s were teh nummy! I lurves me some BLTs!

Rosie that well is out beside the outhouse.

I’ve been visitatin’ at the horsepistol. My wonderful Deacon friend had a stint put in today and is doin’ well. He’ll be goin’ home tomorrow. A co-parishoner is also there gettin’ chemo treatments for leukemia. He’s had two weeks worth and in a couple more weeks a biopsy will be done to determine if he’s in shape for a bone marrow transplant. His white cell count has gone way down which is positive as i understand it. Prayers and good thoughts would be muchly appreciated. He’s in good spirits and says his appetite is great which I take as another positive sign.

It’s still hawt out! Glad to be back in the coolness of da cave.

Skeletons? My family has no skeletons! Unless you count the grandpa who had a thing with grandma’s cousin. Which resulted in an aunt and uncle that I never even knew about till about 15 years ago.

Project made it in successfully over the weekend. Yay! Starting to get other things done. Also yay!

Hugs all!

Good morning and Happy Wednesday!! I left my computer on all night - I thought I’d turned it off before assuming the afghaning position, but I guess not. Oh well…

I’m hearing thunder at the moment, but the storms are moving north of here and pretty fast - with luck, we won’t get anything till after the next well crew does whatever it is they have to do, which includes tearing up the yard between the new well and the house. They’ll be digging across the cable and electric lines, which are marked. They durn well better not knock me off line!!

Once it’s light out, assuming the rain has passed, I’ll be out planting the flowers we bought last night and moving one more hosta. Beyond that, I’ll just wing it - I’m a wild and wacky unpredictable spirit, I am!

Correction - it’s pouring and thundering overhead. So much for my mad weather-radar-reading skillz…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 92 and hyoooooooomid. We need some of that rain but no chance of rain here for a while accordin’ to the TPTB weather forecasters.

MOOOOOOM hope the storms pass soon and the well stuff gets finished up today.

Yay for successful project gt!

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

My children are making me crazy.

Blurf.

Ka-frikkin-boom.

Isn’t that what children are supposed to do? Seriously??

Still pouring and thundering, but it looks like the worst of it is just about past us. I’ve had PB&J (OK, homemade peach preserves) for breakfast. I can’t seem to get motivated - I’m sure the weather has something to do with it.

That’s what I’ve always heard – “Insanity is hereditary, we get it from our children”

Not to mention that your aforementioned statement is making a (major, IMO) assumption that you were sane before… :stuck_out_tongue:

Alrighty… the impatiens are all planted and I’ve begun weeding the last of the big bed in preparation for the marigolds and moss roses, as well as a plant my mom gave me 2 years ago that is still growing in a plastic bag - I’d say it’ll do better in the ground.

Well guys haven’t shown up yet - I certainly hope they come today - the sky is blue and so far, it’s nice and cool outside… Back to work with me.

And how in the world would you hide a body or throw a witch down it? They would have to be Twiggy-level skinny!

Addendum:

My children are making me crazIER.

Now you know why some animals eat their young.

Not to mention the savings on birth control.

What craptastic development!! It’s too wet for the well guys to work - they can’t risk having their equipment getting stuck in the mud and muck, so no water today. rats. :frowning: I understand, I’m not happy, but it would have been nice if they’d called to tell me. Oh well.

I’ve done a bunch of weeding, some transplanting, and some mulching. I’m taking a break before sticking the marigolds in the dirt. It’s humid, and the 72° feels lots warmer - I don’t expect I’ll last a lot longer. I do want to get the new stuff planted, tho, so tonight’s rain helps them settle in. I’ll sprinkle the Miracle Gro over the whole garden and call it quits - with luck, no more than an hour from now.

I need a yard slave…

Sadly, I’m not sure that’s possible in my case. :frowning:
Junior had an away LL baseball game, two towns over. One of the banners on the outfield fence was for a ‘Gentleman’s Club’. Really guys? The majority of players are pre-pubescent boys & you’re taking advertising from a strip club?!?!?!

Would you rather have an ad for bail bonds?

I’ve quit, showered, and lunched. Apart from my back and elbow starting to ache, it started raining a bit, and altho it didn’t last, it was enough to make me decide to quit.

For those who may be interested in my horticultural efforts, check thisout. I’m not done, but I’ve made a lot of progress!
