Skin Tight Pants Are Taking Over Our Public Schools

There are three groups of kids at my school as far as pants go, some that were there pants oversized and some that wear them regular sized and now there are kids coming to school with their pants skin tight.
So what will happen to all those people that tell kids to pull their pants up and get a belt if this skin tight style takes over? Hmmmm?

I was one of those skin-tight-pants wearers.
I graduated high school in 1986.
It’s nothing new.

I guess this was more of an “Mundane Pointless” thing.

You mean males, too?

Yes, I am mainly refferring to males because I am used to girls doing it but now alot of guys are wearing tight jeans…really tight jeans.

I sure isn’t and I graduated high school in 1969.

[college student] I know, aint it great? [college student/]

Surprising, but then maybe not. It could be a matter of the pendulum starting to swing back. Super-baggy, after all, has been the fashion for going on 15 years.

By super tight, do you mean they look painfully tight, or just normally tight like guys used to wear in the 70s and 80s? Are the pants designed to be worn tighter?

People are wearing clothes that accentuate their bodies and they are obviously comfortable doing so. Why should it matter to anyone else what it is that they’re wearing so long as it isn’t a floss string bikini (not that I have a problem with that either but there has to be some sort of limit)?

When they get so tight you have to lie down on the bed and do the zip up with a coathanger and you buy straight leg off the shelf and go home and ask your mum to take in the leg till it is so tight you have to have to do "ballet toes’ to put them on…come back and we can talk.

If it reaches that point it seems the 80’s are cool again. RUN AWAY! Big hair, bigger earrings and shoulder pads are on their way.

Other then Dallas and Dynasty there was nothing pretty in the 80’s

My brother-in-law tells stories about how he used to get in the bathtub in a new pair of Levi’s so as to be able to let them dry and shrink to fit. He claims they were so tight his feet got numb sometimes. I’ve seen the pictures and they were tight . He graduated in 1967, I think.

:::shudder::: that brought back memories that I would rather forget

looks like Sherwin Williams* is back to making jeans fashionable again

*painted on jeans… I know, bad joke

I have two words for y’all:

ROBERT PLANT

:shudder:

Having been an dyed-in-the-wool “ass man” as long as I can remember, I greet the return of tight jeans with a loud, resounding, “WOOOOOOO-HOOOOO!”

God I hated baggy jeans on girls.

???

Baggy jeans on girls lasted, if memory serves, about six months.

The tightness doesn’t bother me as much as the asscrack. Why do people feel a need to have their asscrack aired out in public?

At my school, so far, there aren’t too many in skintight jeans, but there are thong-wedgies and butt cleavage as far as the eye can see.

calm kiwi - been shopping lately? The 80s are back. The colors for spring are bright neon blues, pinks, and oranges, and huge geometric-shape plastic earrings are all over the place.

I’m scared.

Not here it didn’t. It went on for years! It was probably because I live in a rural area where all these parents from the “big city” move to get their kids away from “the gangs”. So what actually happens is they bring the gangs here, and now we have them all running around in the gang “uniform” - girls included. Despite the return of tight jeans, you still see teenage girls sagging. Not as much as a few years ago, but they’re still doing it.

It is now autumn in kiwi-land. We haven’t got our spring colours yet.
IMO, anything is an improvement on low-riding. Ugh. Whoever thought it was a good idea to drop your pants below your buttocks and show off the satin boxers that grandma gave you last Christmas?
