Just a quick note, these uniforms aren’t just for the preseason, the Skins are going to be wearing them all year long as part of their 75th anniversary celebration thingee. They had the same style helmet back when Lombardi coached them in the late '60’s. On the whole, I think the unis are all right, nothing too fab and nothing too hideous.
WSLer has what was probably the OP covered, so I’ll just add that I find it ironic that the Redskins’ uniforms bear a striking resemblance to Florida State’s uniforms. Florida State being the rival of the Florida Gators, where current Skins’ coach Steve Spurrier was for the past few years.
It made me shiver to see Danny Wuerffel in a near-replica of a Seminoles uniform, and Steve Spurrier coaching him. What is this, Bizarro football?
Did you notice that there are no Seminoles on their roster, but it’s lousy with Gators, at least at the skill positions? On the telecast last night they said that would be their home uniform this year, not sure if it will stay retro for away games.
