slash fiction

My definitions: Romance between two people of the same gender: slash. Romance between two people of the opposite genders: het. Fic that doesn’t focus on a romance: gen.

Now, if there was only an easy way to describe a mixed-gender threesome, I’d be all set.

**pepperlandgirl ** I very rarely read slash, but I read one that I had to nominate one for the 2003 Spookys (x-files fan fic awards) this year - an X-files/Angel crossover featuring Mulder and Angel. You might like it  If you’d like to read it go here and scroll down to “Losing our Souls” by foxhunt2blue http://spookys2003.ditb.org/archive/titleL.shtml

Does anyone have a link to that Goofus and Gallant slash fic? I tried to find it at the Femgeeks litslash site, but it appears to be down. It’s been like that for the past couple of days.

jeanster, I just tried Googling that story, but all I could get were blogs. You might try a few more links. Put in the author’s name: David Doty. So you can narrow the search.

:glances at everyone who writes or reads slash fiction, and bursts into tears:

I don’t even know you anymore!

:runs out of the room, sobbing like a schoolgirl:

A brief excerpt from one of my slash pieces, can be found here .

DocCathode , that story was very disturbing. I loved every word of it.

Do you know just how (mildly) disturbing it is for me to read that? I mean, I post rather frequently on these boards, and respond to Angua at DopeFests and on ICQ etc.

I still derive great amusement from the Gandalf/Balrog slashfic someone mentioned in one of these threads once. Maybe it’ll see live action in the sequel to Return of the King?

I’ve also seen a Discworld fic with Cheery pining for Angua. (I couldn’t give you the url, but the title was Goldy-gold.)

Sounds like an interesting pairing! Link, please?

If you really want the Goofus and Gallant slash, I do have it saved-you could e-mail me?

Thanks, Guinastasia. That’s very nice of you to offer. I was able to find that slash fanfic today in the message archive of the LitSlash Yahoo! Group (message #522 posted by Dave Doty). What I really wanted was the URL to the Femgeeks.net litslash archive so I could bookmark that link at another Yahoo! Group that specializes in only slash humor fics that are highly recommended. The Goofus and Gallant one qualifies, IMHO.

I wasn’t sure if the URL to the message #522 would work for viewers who aren’t members of that group. That’s why I was looking for that other URL.

Hmmm. The http://www.femgeeks.net/litslash/ is still not working. I tried just now.

I also found today a new favorite author of mine: Scribe. She’s very well known in the Makebelieve Yahoo! Group according to that group’s owner. Here’s one she’s currently writing: It’s a Clark/Jimmy slash titled “An Uncomfortable Work Environment”. I can’t wait for her to add the next chapter. She writes other fanfics, not just slash.
