I’m sure we’ve all seen people giving each other virtual hugs on the boards. I’ve noticed two different styles:

Why is this, and which do y’all prefer? I like the top type, if only because I’m a traditionalist. Also, that was the style I used the one time I actually gave someone here a virtual hug.
These hugs; ////hugs\\ are Spider Woman’s “spider hugs”.
These hugs; {{{{hugs}}}} are regular hugs.
Hmmm… I thought I’d seen it more often than just Spider Woman. Either that, of she’s the hugging type.
I like curly hugs. They seem more real hug like for some reason.
