I have two cats, two dogs and one husband. We all sleep together. On a queen size bed. It has never been an issue with us, but we are the type of people that will stop at McD’s to get them happy meals. I also have been known to let the cat grab a bite without flinching. Our pets are just other members of the family to us. Sleeping is great. Brad sleeps on one side, then Allie (the chow mix, app 50 lbs.), then Niko (the black lab, app. 70 lbs.), then me, with Charlie (little 10 lb. Siamese mix) above my head and Kitty (mix cat, 10 lbs.) to my right. We almost never turn the heater on and have automatic alarm clocks. I overslept one day and Niko whined and cried until I got up so that I would not be late to work. When I was out of bed he hopped back in and went back to sleep, satisfied that his work was done for the day. I cannot imagine not sleeping with them. It is getting a little harder since I am starting to show (pregnant) and the bed is getting smaller and smaller, but I don’t want the baby to think that his animal brothers and sisters are anything but that.
I know, we need help.
