Small earbuds?

I seem to have small ear canals since earbuds never stay in. Are there some brands/models that are smaller? I don’t want to spend a lot , maybe $50 tops.

Smaller than what?

Get the kind with the rubber tips. They make at least three different sizes of tips that you can change yourself.

If those don’t work, try the kind with the ear clips.

smaller than average I guess.

If you’ve tried the kinds that have replaceable tips and the smallest ones won’t stay in, you’re going to need the ones that have an external loop or hook.

Try the $10 Panasonic ones… they have astounding quality and the smallest tips are really small. Bunch of colors to choose from, too.

I would think just the opposite – that your ear canals are too large and there’s insufficient friction between the canal walls and the buds to hold them in. If you push them in and they just fall out, try a larger ear seal, not smaller.

You can buy packs of various sized tips to find the right size, except you have to make sure that the tips work with your brand. Here’s an example of a set of tips.

they feel very tight so I don’t think they are too big.

Ok, consider me mystified. How it it they feel tight but just fall out? Are you moving your head around? On occasion I just swallow and feel my earbuds move.

When they feel tight, do you feel any resistance when you pull them out?

yes they tend to fall out when I move my head. But I don’t think they fit well to begin with. maybe I don’t put them in correctly .

I had this same question, and someone suggested SkullCandy brand because they aren’t expensive, sound okay and come with three sizes of earbud cover (one of which is very small). I’ve been using them ever since.

I can’t answer for OP, but, what happens if I try to wear the medium, standard size, is that they cannot sit deeply enough and when I close my jaw they get ejected.

Terminology:
Ear buds: shitty ones that come with iPods etc. They just rest between your tragus and antitragus. Don’t buy these.
In-ear monitors/earphones: these actually go into your ear canal, and block sound much better, requiring less eardrum-shattering volumes to hear in public.

I like that Skullcandy gives 100% replacement cost when they break (50% if it’s user error). You’re just out the low price of shipping them to them.

I wear smalls. Also, do this: bring the cord behind your ears then over the top, and insert from the front. The clips also work.

I’m a runner, and always used over ear headphones for the same reasons. I recently switched to yurbuds (under 20 bucks at Amazon), and they stay in nicely.
