You have to admit that identical twins that are raised together experience virtually identical environments. Sometimes even dressed exactly the same and all.
I didn’t make anything up because I didn’t state anything as fact. I just gave examples of things that might influence a persons performance. I just wanted to indicate the numerous things that might be correlated , not just the fuzzy concept of “innate intelligence” you propose as solid fact.
I’ll try to sum up what my biggest gripe is about IQ tests and the belief in an innate intelligence that marks your potential at the moment of birth.
I think that this belief, even if it turns out to be true to some point, is much too fuzzy to begin to dilucidate to any degree of scientific rigor. Worse, it may be tempting for some lazy schoolteacher to brush of some unmotivated math student as simply not intelligent enough to understand the subject, when in reality all he/she needs is some encouragement.
