Smoking in your car

Technically, that’d be Bubble Girl. Or Bubble Lady to you, since you’re a smoking driver.

There’s always a whole lot of that going around, among smokers and non-smokers.

Great! I’ll be sure to give you my Lady finger!

And Cat Whisperer, that’s harsh.

When I smoke in the car:

All windows must be at least cracked open, no matter the season/weather.

The moon roof (if I’m driving my husband’s car) must also be cracked open. My vehicle, unfortunately, don’t have one.

There are deodorizers made especially for cigarette snoke.

If there is a nonsmoker driving with me, I will not smoke.

If I’m in a nonsmoker’s car, I will not smoke.

Cat Whisperer, yeah, as ridiculous as it may sound to you, smokers can be just as bothered with stale smoke odor as nonsmokers, or heck, even ex-smokers. I can’t stand it. I air it out every chance I get, and during the warmer months I don’t use the deodorizer half as much as I do during the winter.

I have fielded this question before. I’ll give you my standard analogy.

“Why do you hang your cigarette out of the car when you are smoking in it? Don’t you like the smoke? If not, why are you a smoker?”

Do you have a fireplace? Ever been in a house with a fireplace? Did you enjoy sitting around the fire, popping corn, making smores, staring into the embers? Yeah? Well, if you enjoy your fireplace so much, why do you open the flue on your chimney? Why not just leave the flue closed so your entire living room becomes filled with smoke? What’s a matter, I thought you liked the fireplace.

Does that help?

I love to watch the flames flicker. I enjoy the warmth it puts out. Occasionally it will be used to ‘cook’ smores or popcorn. Breathing in/smelling smoke, not as much, which is why I open the flue.
Isn’t smoking all about inhaling the smoke?

I like to “spank” the pack to pack all the tobacco down. I enjoy the smell of the tobacco before its lit. I like having something to do with my hands, especially the ritual of smoking. Inhale, flick ash, exhale. I like to watch the smoke curl off the tip of the cigarette in delicate patterns. It’s calming. I do not enjoy stinking like smoke, or being enveloped in a cloud of smoke. This is why I smoke outside, so the wind carries it away from me.

If I could get the same satisfaction from e-cigs (vaping), I would.

Fair enough.
Another case of the SMDB fighting ignorance.

is probably not a good idea.
