I have been smoking 1 & 1/2 packs of cigarettes per day since I was 16 years old. I am a caucasian male. On average, how old will I be when I die and what would be the over/under in years?
Just quit.
No body can give you a real prediction. I was up to 3 packs of Camels a day when I quit. Couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs, but I could smoke a Camel first thing in the morning.
To actually answer your question someone would have to know the incidence of cancer in your family, where you live, how old you are, etc.
Just. quit.
Your life expectancy is about 74 years, on average. I remember reading a factoid one time that smoking, on average, cuts about 8-10 years off a person’s life. With that, you would have about a 50% chance of assuming room temperature by age 65.
