Yeah, so I got sent this thing by a friend for a “panty exchange.” I like the premise of it: there’s two people on the list; the first one, you buy a pair of panties for (there’s specifics on size, and sometimes style), and the second person is there to be put in the first person’s spot for when you put your name on the list… I’m all for it ( free panties, woohoo!), but my only problem is I need a couple of people who’d be willing to be put on this list to send on to friends. In the end, if all parties are willing, I’d be receiving 36 pairs of panties for the cost of one pair of panties plus shipping them in the mail (about 60 cents). Is there anyone who’d volunteer to help me out with this and be put on the list?
A pyramid panty scheme?
“Hi, my name is Dave Rhodes, and one day I was sitting around in my panties reading this newsgroup just like you are now…”
We’re not involving the SDMB in any way, shape, or form with a panty exchange.
Well, it’s based off of a so-called dish towel exchange thing that they used to do back before I was born, or so I’ve heard…
Panty pyramid schemes – what’ll they think of next?
My SO got a copy of this email, too, but she decided that about the last thing she needed to be out on the Internet was her name, address, and underwear preferences. Something to think about.
Of course, this is a pyramid scheme, and inherently unstable; I can dig up a couple of explanations if you need 'em.
