SO what are they planning in that odd little conversation twixt Dumbledore and Snape at the end of GoF? Are they plannign to send Snape back into Voldemorte’s confidance? I can’t see this happening. Snape left before Vode’s fall. He was marked for death before Volde attacked baby Harry.
Voldy definitely knows about Snape betraying him so probably won’t trust him if he tries to go back into the fold. On the other hand some of the death-eaters don’t (Voldy never actually mentions Snape’s name during their graveyard reunion, does he?) so maybe Snape will try and pal up with them. Basically, as he’s going alone and secretly, I do think some kind of spying is in order. (Some fans think he’s going to contact the vampires to bring them to the good side, but that probably depends on whether HE’s a vampire or not.)
