I was curious how the events of the last few days would impact this week’s show.
That opening was appropriate and honestly choked me up.

A nicely warm “cold open”
Some good cameos. And Martin Short hosts!
Last time I recall McCartney was on:
What’s the story on that guitar Sir Paul is playing? I’ve never seen anything quite like that before.
“That costs money.” Gotta love Samuel L.
And it’s a cigar box guitar.
And the song sucked
I dunno… McCartney rocking as hard as the Foo Fighters was pretty cool. Whether or not the song is any good, the energy on stage was off the charts.
“You know, between Paul and I, we’ve sold over 100 million records.”
That was a rather funny episode. I only wished Kristen Wiig had been in one of the skits instead of just the small cameo at the beginning.
Hey it’s Nirvana! Only with some other left-handed guy singing and playing guitar…
What Up With That IS bullshit. Why do they keep doing that stupid sketch?
I liked that McCartney was performing songs more suited for the rougher voice that he’s currently sporting, rather than songs written for the smoother voice of young Paul.
I agree, except that he had trouble with that one high note in the first song. And by the way, what’s more appropriate for a Christmas show than a Valentine song?
How does this SNL exist anymore?
Could you elaborate? You’re not giving us much to go on here…
I’m assuming you were dissapointed with the show?
It was Crap…What the hell was that shit?
This is the BIG TIME…DO SOMETHING…what a waste of something that coulda been.
(you have to see it to know how I feel, nothing to elaborate on)
What are you talking about that was crap? It what ways was this “it” crap? Please respond in detail. What was the original airdate of the episode you are griping about, given that it is Sunday, not Saturday.
SDMB…Jamicat and Crap. >:
How does this SDMB exist anymore?
I only got to see it on Hulu; it looked like they cut out about 20 minutes! Can anyone tell me what I missed from the live show?
I thought it was a decent episode.
If you’re going to open a new thread, rather than just post in the existing thread, shouldn’t you at least have something to say?
I thought this episode was pretty funny. It was the Jamie Foxx episode I thought was crap, but that’ll happen from time to time with any sketch comedy show. Plus, there will be plenty of people who will tell me how wrong I am for not finding that episode funny. Such is how comedy works!
