I believe it is one of the best SNL sketches of all time. It gives me hope that the divisions between are just illusory.
"NOT A DAMN THING!" I can't stop giggling at that.Tom did a great job.

The entire show was one of the best I’ve seen in a while. This sketch was genius.
“LIVES THAT MATTER”
“You people are fun! Can I say that?”
“We’ll give you a pass this time.”
That was quite refreshingly good, in a lot of ways. Thanks for highlighting it.
Look at SNL being innovative on one of their sketches for once!
I also think it’s hilarious because there’s a part of me that thinks it’s almost true.
The stereotypical redneck dude probably DOES have a lot in common with the stereotypical black person.
Yep, agreed. That was an instant classic.
I think SNL is in line for their best season in years. So far all the shows have been much much better than in years past. Tom Hanks was great.
Thread on the entire episode here. But yeah, that Black Jeopardy was one of the best.
Here is the thread I started about the overall episode: http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=808418
I agree that Black Jeopardy was one of the better SNL skits I have seen in a while. More like something Key & Peele might have done.
I find the Black Jeopardy skits are as good as the Celebrity Jeopardy ones.
It was excellent. I especially loved the iPhone question.
I agree, I thought the Black Jeopardy sketch was so good I woke up my wife to tell her about it.
I agree with the OP, one of the best of all time. This one kept delivering.
I agree, a terrific sketch.
I initially cringed, expecting a bunch of lazy low blows. They took it in an unexpected direction and it was funny (two things they need more of).
I liked that too, this could have easily been a skit with lazy humor and cheap shots in any direction. Hanks’ character was appreciably low key and the commonality found between the contestants right up until the end was great.
I kept waiting for them to go to the category “White People” because I was sure that was where the punchline was. Nice of them to use that as a distraction, it was clever
Some analysis of the sketch here: SNL’s brilliant Black Jeopardy sketch gave us some of the best political commentary of this election - Vox
When it started, I thought it would be a just plain stupid concept that wasn’t going to be funny at all. I was completely wrong.
You know they’ve done this before, right? At lest once, and maybe more.
The last time I remember, the white guy was a professor of African American History, and he got every answer wrong. Not quite as good as this one, but still very funny.
