Had me rolling. Rand Paul and Marco Rubio took it over the top.
I smiled when Rand came in on a skateboard. Everything else was painful. I felt kinda sorry for them.
That was more pathetic than the field of candidates. Wow.
The writers really dropped the ball on this one. No actors could save that pathetic skit.
I enjoyed it, but I felt like it was referencing something that I’m not hip to. Why were they dancing and being all sexy and gangsta like?
They were poking the Young Republicans for trying to claim they’re just as cool as anybody else.
Forced, lame and desperate.
Maybe that was the intent. Just to prove it could be done.
Wow, that was awful.
With Marco Rubio as sweaty as that, he sure looked like he needed a drink of water.
I couldn’t finish it.
Much like the candidates themselves.
Same here. I enjoy making fun of the Republicans as much as anyone, but this didn’t strike me as funny or interesting.
Like 90% of SNL sketches, this was really dumb.
I did and you didn’t miss anything. So weak. The video then led into a Californians sketch which was equally unappealing. How fun!
I’m a big SNL fan and defender and find a lot of what they put on the show lately is really funny and smart. It works for me. That said, this is pretty rough. SNL cold opens, for some reason, are never very sharp. I think they’re usually one of the last things written each week.
Tough crowd.
“This little Kentucky Kush likes small government…and fat blunts”
Maybe Hillary’s announcement will fare better.
I can’t watch that.
No really, it’s unavailable in Canada. Probably just as well.
The candidates, that is, not the skit.
Yeah, as opening skits go especially I’d give this a C-. A few decent jokes, but mostly bland. As I said in another thread, what they really need to do is a Rubio/Cruz stand-off with Quien Es Mas Cubano?
