A while back I was reading a thread (no idea which) that used this phrase. I thought it was provacative, but had no clue as to what it meant.
I think it got posts, but I can’t remember what they said, and besides there was no explanation of it.
I forgot about the thread after a while, but at least once a day I think about it, and it’s time to stop this SNOOCH TO THE NOOCH loop in my head.
Who can tell me what it means? I beg you, someone; they’re coming to take me away, ha ha.
Jay, of Jay and Silent Bob, from the Kevin Smith films, uses this as his catch phrase. I can’t remember when he started using it, but the animated series used it a lot.

Oh, and aside from that, I have no idea what it means. Jay’s a stoner, who thinks everything looks like a Bong. I don’t think he knows either.
I love it. Well, that and it’s variations are getting dumped directly into my long term memory.
I plan to use this extensively, no matter how old it is. I still use “respect my authoritah” occasionally.

Way back in the early 80s a new radio station was starting up in the Ark-La-Tex. They played a non-stop loop of that song for several days as a promo. I recorded both sides of a cassette.
As a promo?? Ummm…isn’t a promo supposed to make you want to listen to a station? What programming manager would think this was a good idea? And what kind of station was this a promo for??

Chasing Amy: Doesn’t actually say anything, but makes fun of “Snoochie Bootchies,” which his character in the comic book says.

Jay and Silent Bob: I think he goes back to Noinch again, or just uses a every one a different time. Not sure.
Oh, and in Clerks, the Animated Series, it’s “Nooch” and “Snooch to the Nooch”

Gaaa! This is the reason I try to stay away from the View Askew site…All this damn J&SB talk makes me want to ride up to Red Bank and scream at Smith to get those next two movies in gear already! 
Probably not as fun to have the real definition, but nooch is short for nutritional yeast, cheesy flavoring friend of vegans everywhere.
Maybe less as a promo, and more as a way of keeping that particular channel open while negotiating sale of a radio station. I’ve heard of this a couple of times. One radio station I listened to daily had a couple of days of ambient new age music play before switching formats.
Another am station tried to do an all Beatles format… or maybe was doing this and it took a couple of months before the station sold.
