I think this is why you’re coming across as a bigot, Dewey. If you say A is better than B (even by a smidge), you are in fact saying B is worse than A. That sounds bigoted when there are SO many more things that make people good parents without regard to their gender or sexuality.

Also, I think matt_mcl was looking for you to spell out what the gender differences are, not vague ideas, but specifics like ‘mommies should cook and kiss boo-boos and daddies should play catch’ or whatever it is that you believe. It’s not like saying mommies are better than daddies, but if you have some concrete examples of the differences, it might help people understand your position better.

I disagree that anything I’ve said here is even mildly bigoted toward homosexuals. As I noted in my second-to-last non-pizza post, I will happily cede that my position could be fairly characterized as mildly sexist.

And regarding the rest of your post, I’ll just point you to my last two non-pizza posts, as they encapsulate my thinking on this issue pretty well.
