Snow storm Linus.

this was the day after the Feb. 2013 storm

And the legendary “Grounds for Violence”

Somerville, MA checking in. Neighbor’s garden porch fence has been swallowed up by snow. By the time they plow this lot the drifts will be over my head. Sidewalks get shoveled around here, so the major hazard will actually be the thin layer of ice left behind.

I’m not too bothered, but I went to college in a place where it wasn’t Christmas until I was snowed into my apartment at least once.

Linus may have broken the record for greatest number of cancelled flights by a single blizzard. Ever.

And remind me, you’re in Ohio?

What? I thought those pics were from New England!

Ohio didn’t even get that much snow.

Nope, Maine

That’s really not much snow for Maine.

Bear in mind I’m about 10 minutes from the beach, generally the ocean warmth keeps our snow totals lower, plus, we haven’t had a good dumping like this in a long time…

This is the Kittery/York/Eliot area

Where are you?

Florida, and I’m sick of this winter weather. It’s been in the seventies all week.

Is Bob’s Clam Hut open all year?

Ayuh, all year.

Of the seafood restaurants on Rte 1, I put Bob’s Clam Hut at the top of the list

In order of preference;
Bob’s Clam Hut
Two Buoys (more towards the York side)
Maine Lobster Outlet (best lobster roll on Rte. 1, it’s in York, right off rte 1)
Weathervane (far too touristy, too many massholes and other “fromawayers”)
I haven’t eaten at Roberts (upscale version of Bob’s, too fancy for me)
