Snowboarding or skiing - which is easier?

I’ve always used the term “Walrus Podding” for this.

I believe that for each person something else is easier. For me, skiing, but my brother is better with desk

That’s because snowboards are not statically stable. Unless you’re relatively advanced, you can’t just stand still on one. You can only stay upright while moving. And even if you are relatively advanced, it takes careful balance to stand still on a snowboard on anything other than very flat ground, so it’s no good if you want to take a breather.

Snowsports are active and done at altitude. Everyone needs lots of breaks. Skiers spend plenty of time resting and not going anywhere, too. They just do it standing, instead of sitting.

Snowboarders rest in a line across the slope because they’re inconsiderate assholes, though.

It isn’t really, although I will admit going off piste in fresh powder is far more fun (and easier) on a snowboard. On ski’s that’s really just more work;).

On the groomed tracks I’ll take skiing any day. (Well, just switching between the two gives you the best of both worlds).
