I want to make some paper snowflakes for decorations at work this holiday season. I know how to fold a piece of paper to get six-sided patterns. But somehow, in some way I can’t define, most of my snowflakes don’t look “real”; that is, they don’t look like a pattern that could actually result from the crystal growth of ice. Aside from making sure that all edges are parallel to one of the six sides, how can I mimic the actual configuration of snowflakes?
Based on these snowflake images I would guess that you’re going to have to not be too fussy and depend a lot on the viewers imagination for help.
Wow, those pictures are amazing.
unbelievable. how are they so diverse and random like that? doesn’t it have something to do with the fibonachi numbers? amazing. how are they created?
This may be helpful to you, as far as cutting them out of paper
