So, are raises happening this year?

End of the year - the time when it happens, if it does. We’re all on the edge of our seats, here.

So how about it - y’all gettin’ raises and/or bonuses?

Bonus - yep, already got mine. 7 months’ salary.
Raise - yep. We get told of our new salaries right after New Years. I don’t know mine yet, but the boss has already said it’s more than this year.

Whoohoo - seven months salary!?! 'Grats sublight! I’m not even dreaming about something like that.

I imagine we’ll hear before the end of this week.

Raise - nope
I’ll get some sort of bonus at year’s end.

No raises, but job cuts and department/college merges are likely. I guess my bonus is that I think my job is safe right now.

Department of Entomology, 1888 - 2004, RIP. :frowning:

No bonus yet, but my husband did get a $2 raise.

I’m hoping he’ll get a bonus too…

In all my life I’ve never gotten a bonus. Gotta stop working at non-profits.

I did get a wee cost-of-living raise, so I guess I’m about as well off as I was a year ago.

Bonus. Served up at the Christmas party before the end of the year, with possibly more to come when the numbers become official. It’s been a good year (actually, several years).

As of last night, I have no credit card debt.

I got about a 3% raise this year, and my quarterly bonus this time around was about the size of a usual two-week paycheck.

Huzzah.

We generally get raises on the anniversary of our hire date, so I wasn’t due until February. They went on and put it into effect last month, though. We don’t get bonuses, though, at least not the emergency staff. I think the day people get them, though.

It’s a Bush economy – if we’re getting anything higher than the cost of inflation, you’re damn lucky.

Technically, it’s more profit sharing than bonus. Salaries get taxed at X%, corporate profits get taxed at 3X%, so the boss figures we know what to do with the money better than the government does, and splits everything among all the employees at the end of every year.

Bonus…Not likely…
Raise…a whopping 19 cents an hour
Bright Side…Hopefully after the new year I can find a new job…

Bonuses here come at the end of the financial year in June. But we have just been given our salary increases. Mine was 6.5%

Raise - Well, I was hired in April, and got a raise at the end of my probation period.
Bonus - last week. Equal to about two weeks salary. I was pleasantly surprised.

I work for an aerospace company (ok, Boeing)

We don’t get bonuses
We do get raises, however… at the end of every year we do our performance evaluation (based on the goals we entered in earlier in the year)

This year, it’s a web-based thing, and no one quite knows how to use it, not even HR… so the whole month thus far has been spent on Performance Evaluations and Raises.

I don’t find out what kind of raise I got until last January though. Sucks.

No bonus and no raise due to departmental issues and this is the third year I’ve gotten nothing. Everyone else got a 2% raise. Definitely looking for another job.

Since I just began my new job in July, I only got a 1% raise this year. Next year it will be a “full raise”, whatever that is. I started out making quite a bit more than at my last job though, so I’m not complaining.

No bonus though.

We don’t do bonuses.

My annual review happens to fall in December, and I got a 5.5% raise though, which I thought was generous – it beats “cost of living” by miles.

I got a 3 % raise - was just notified yesterday, during my review. Cost of living, I guess.

No bonus in a not-for-profit.
