So how are you guys doing this anyway?

because it does.

Like Coldie, I’m using IE (5.5), and zut’s post aligns just fine.

So, to answer Zut’s question:

Yes, it’s aligned, no, it’s not super or subscripted.

I’m using IE 5, and the text that is supposedly aligned appears subscripted to me.

Maybe only 5.5 parses it right. Coldy - you sure you’re using 5.0 not 5.5?

All I know is it aligns properly on my screen, and I REFUSE to use Nutscrape.

I use IE 5.5, sorry about that. That must be it, then.

I’m at work now, where we use Netscape 4.07. The lines look aligned where zut say they should be, just like at home with IE 5.5.

Tengu, your quote of my post did something odd: it looks like you added a slash into one of the tags, which resulted in a subscripting (and change of font) without decreased font size. Way cool.

For example: [sub]This text[/sub] is true subscript, and [/sup]this text[/sub] is merely shifted.

Additionally, [sup]This text[/sup] is true superscript, and [/sub]this text[/sup] is merely shifted.

Okay, I’ve got IE5, not 5.5, and NONE of the things that you guys are saying are aligned, are aligned.

Zut, 02-12-2001 07:01 AM–I see the words that I’m putting in italics as UNaligned, both sets of words as subscripts:

Zut, 02-12-2001 12:11 PM–I see the words that I’m putting in italics as UNaligned:

No, yes, and yes.

No, yes, and yes.

No. Both look like subscripts.

And Tengu’s post doesn’t show any kind of font change here.

So it’s an IE5/IE5.5 thing? Great. One more thing to blame on Bill Gates…

see if I got it right…

[sup]Thanks,[/sup][sub][u[]guys[/sub]

I first saw it used in a post by bibliophage, and I tested it here as so[/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup]on as I saw it.

That’s strange. The “merely shifted” text looks not shifted at all to me.
